An evening where Northern and Southern Italy meet at one table. Winemakers from Massimago (Verona) and Masseria Cuturi (Puglia) join us to introduce their wines course by course — five dishes, each paired with a wine chosen by the estate.
Massimago
Mezzane Valley, Valpolicella · Veneto
Derived from the Latin "Maximum Agium" — the maximum level of well-being. The estate in Valpolicella has been owned by the Cracco family since 1883. In 2003, winemaker Camilla Rossi Chauvenet became its guardian, building the winery from scratch with nothing but good land and indomitable will. Fully certified organic since 2014, Massimago is now recognized as one of the region's finest producers.
Masseria Cuturi
Manduria, Puglia · Est. 1881
A 270-hectare property in Manduria where Primitivo cuttings arrived as a countess's dowry at the turn of the 19th century. Today, under the Rossi-Chauvenet family, 140 hectares of Primitivo, Negramaro, and Fiano thrive in cretaceous limestone and Mediterranean sun. The family also preserves five-hundred-year-old olive trees and archaeological sites dating from 300 BCE.
